Railroad Revetment Project

 

This 1950’s era bulletin was built directly behind a railroad revetment leading into a trestle crossing the adjacent street.

 

Due to the railroad’s planned removal of the revetment and re-grading of the resultant back-fill the foundations for this I-beam unit were to be exposed on the direct wind load. I worked directly with structural engineering, steel fabrication and erectors to design and put in place these auxiliary footings thus saving this high revenue non-conforming expressway bulletin from removal.
